Lauren Blitzer
Born and raised in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Lauren Blitzer attended NYU, majoring in Art History. She currently serves as the Development Director for Faith in America, a non-profit aimed to end religious-based bigotry amongst the LGBT community. Prior to her position at FIA she was the Corporate Relations and Special Events Manager for GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) and was a copywriter for J.Crew.
Lauren Blitzer is also the author of “Same Sex in the City: So Your Prince Charming is Really a Cinderella,” published by Simon & Schuster. She has been featured in the New York Times, appeared twice on the Tyra Banks Show, and co-hosted the talk show “She Said What” on Logo. Additionally, she received the trailblazer award from the Stonewall Foundation in December 2009 for her work in LGBT advocacy and awareness.
Lauren currently resides in Brooklyn with her fiancee and their three dogs.
