The Like Me® Organization is the sole owner of the information collected on likeme.org. The Like Me® Organization collects information from our users at different points on our Web site. We sometimes collect information about you in an effort to make the services and information we provide more efficient and customized to you. You are free to browse the Site without revealing any personal information about yourself. We collect two types of information from visitors to the Site: Technical Information and Personal Information.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The Like Me® Organization analyzes our website logs to improve the value of our website. We use an external service to provide real-time reporting to us of browser accesses to our site. This reporting includes page views, unique views, unique visitors, repeat visitors, frequency of visits, and peak-volume traffic periods. We do not use this service to gather, request, record, require, collect or track any Internet users’ personally identifiable information.

COOKIES

A cookie is a piece of data that is stored on a visitor’s hard drive while they are visiting this Website. We may utilize a short-lived form of cookie when you visit this site. At The Like Me® Organization, a cookie is only used to identify one unique visitor from another visitor during a particular session. A session is the period of active site-use while that unique visitor is linked to our server. We may use cookie technology during a session as a tool to carry forward your input information during the enrollment process. This enables the visitor to input their information once and have the information appear later during the enrollment process. No personally identifiable information is stored on the cookie. The cookie expires and is deleted from the visitor’s computer as soon as they close their browser.

Personal Information is individually identifiable information about you that could permit one to identify or contact you. At various places on the Site, we may request certain Personal Information, such as your name, e-mail address, and or mailing address in the event you make a donation through the Site. Also, as a security measure we “back up” the data stored on our systems, and such prior information cannot be completely removed from our databases. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your Personal Information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests

RESALE OR DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES:

The Like Me® Organization does not share or otherwise disclose any personal information, including your name, or e-mail addresses with other organizations. Only The Like Me® Organization staff have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors to our site.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Our website is securely protected against the loss, theft, misuse or misrepresentation of information under our control. Access to The Like Me® Organization’s database information is limited only to specific qualified Like Me® Organization employees.

CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT OF 1998 (COPPA)

The Like Me® Organization fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect identifiable personal information from children under age 13. If we discover that a person under the age of 13 has provided us with any personally identifiable information, we will delete that information from our systems. We are unable to reply to information requests from children under the age of 13, if so identified. A parent or guardian must initiate any requests for information from children under the age of 13 on their behalf. We encourage parents to supervise children when they browse the Internet.
